Obey Clothing
In 1989, Shepard Fairey launched the now-iconic “Andre the Giant Has a Posse” sticker—igniting a movement that blurred the lines between street art, activism, and design. From 2000 to 2009, I was part of that movement, first in San Diego and later at Studio Number One in Los Angeles, where the Obey brand began to evolve into a global presence.
As Obey transitioned from art project to cultural force, the clothing line emerged as a pivotal extension of the brand. At Studio Number One, we functioned as the creative engine behind Obey Clothing—developing seasonal concepts, apparel graphics, packaging, and campaigns. I collaborated with Shepard and the design team on hundreds of pieces annually, helping shape the visual identity of a brand that continues to resonate across fashion, youth culture, and activism.
